    Initial Thoughts
Punch Cigars is an old brand in the cigar world. Their history goes back a long ways, but over the last few years they’ve faced some pretty stiff competition. So, with cigars like the Punch Knuckle Buster Maduro Toro they try to stay in the game with budget-priced cigars from an historically great company.

Visually, the Punch Knuckle Buster Maduro is a decent looking cigar; it’s not perfect, but it’s not bad either. With a quick guillotine cut, the Knuckle Buster had the perfect amount of resistance, and the cold draw flavors were of cedar and other woods I couldn’t determine (I’m not a beaver).

While there was a hole/hollow spot early on, the flavors started pretty good. The Connecticut Broadleaf wasn’t overwhelming, and the other tobaccos offered up flavors that were tangy and spicy and interesting.

Once lit, the flavors were a little “budgety” but there was also something quite delicious in there. Is the Punch Knuckle Buster Maduro worth $7? Or, will it “punch” above its weight class?

    Final Thoughts

In the first half of this cigar, I had a hollow spot and an uneven burn. Plus, the first half of the Knuckle Buster Maduro burned really fast, despite me trying everything I could to slow it down.

Regarding the flavors, I enjoyed most of them. However, I didn’t enjoy the flavors of the final third. Also, for a toro, this cigar should’ve smoked much longer than it did.

However, this cigar is well under $10 at $6 and some change. With the burn issues, hollow spot, and short smoke time, the Punch Knuckle Buster Maduro Toro earns a CigarScore 3.
